An unusual night with a private sauna: what difference does it make?
In a hotel spa, the sauna is shared. You go at a set time, wait your turn and meet other guests. Here, the sauna is part of the lodge. You switch it on whenever you like, stay as long as you like, and step out to sink into your private balneo bathtub or sit on the terrace facing the mountains.
That freedom is what makes the difference. A sauna at 10pm under the stars, another one the next morning before breakfast: it’s your stay, at your pace.

Le Nouveau lodge
Its wooden barrel sauna sits in the greenery, reached by a little log path. Inside: wooden benches and soft light. The lodge itself is bathed in light, with an open view and no one overlooking you, a private balneo bath and an outdoor brazier.

L’Original lodge
More intimate, more of a cocoon. Its private sauna is just a few steps away, the balneo bathtub is sheltered behind a stone wall, and the wood stove warms the interior on winter evenings. Discover both lodges in detail.
Our guests’ favourite ritual
- 15 to 20 minutes in the sauna, staying well hydrated.
- A moment outside, in the fresh air of the Savoie forest.
- The balneo bathtub, to relax your muscles.
- Rest by the stove or on the terrace, with a herbal tea or a glass of Savoie wine.
Repeat as you like. The sauna is even more enjoyable in autumn and winter, when the air is crisp and night falls early.

Where is this lodge with a private sauna?
Cocoon Wood is in Saint-Paul-sur-Yenne, in the Avant-Pays savoyard: 10 minutes from Lac du Bourget, 20 minutes from Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry, and about 1 hour from Lyon via the A43. Self check-in from 4pm, check-out until 11am.
To complete your evening, we offer a plancha barbecue in summer, raclette or fondue in the colder months, and champagne or a bouquet of flowers on request. Breakfast made with local produce can be enjoyed on the terrace or in bed.
